ご挨拶 (Conference Co-chairs Welcome Remarks)

We wish to welcome you to iPOP2008 to be held in Tokyo at the NTT Musashino R&D center, June 5-6, 2008. We are thankful to NTT for rehosting this event in their facilities and making it possible to bring the IP and Optical technology community together.

This is the fourth in series of the event on IP + Optical network technologies. As previous premium conferences iPOP2005, iPOP2006, and iPOP2007, which have contributed largely to the progress and shaping of the IP and Optical Technology industry, iPOP2008 promises to be an exciting venue for lively discussions on timely topics on this subject. We hope by bringing together those working in this important field we can share and benefit from the results of the research and development undertaken by the industry, academia and other organizations and gain from their experience in the state-of-the-art IP and Optical Networking technologies.
